The Activity Shop rents kayaks, canoes, and bicycles. They deliver!

Old Quarry Ocean Adventures rents recreational equipment, offers boat charters and has regularly scheduled puffin and lighthouse tours throughout the summer and fall.

Opera House Arts at the 1912 Stonington Opera House, on Stonington's fishing harbor and on the National Register of Historic Places, offers a year-round program of first-run and independent movies; original professional and community theater events; and a digital media (film/radio/web) studio free for public use.

Marine Environmental Research Institute (MERI) is a nonprofit organization based in Maine with a mission to protect the marine environment and human health through scientific research, education, and public outreach. They offer eco-cruises, a lecture series, and many special special programs and events throughout the year.

Haystack Mountain School of Crafts is an international craft school located on the Atlantic Ocean in Deer Isle, Maine. The school offers intensive studio-based workshops in a variety of craft media including clay, glass, metals, paper, blacksmithing, weaving, woodworking and more. Programs range from short workshops to two-week sessions and anyone may participate, from beginners to advanced professionals.
